Namhae Island’s German Village

October 1-3, 2016 brought a very tasty and a very European festival to the shores of South Korea. Octoberfest was celebrated in Namhae’s German Village with lots of sausages and yummy beer for its hungry visitors. This was my first such festival and also my first time to the beautiful island of Namhae. Though we couldn’t stay long, Octoberfest was a feast for the eyes, the tummy and my giddy camera was happy too!

  1. I like to go but I think it’s too far from me. I don’t know where’s Namhae but I am so interested with this place. I’ve been to Swiss Village and Petite France already, and I think I will enjoy this village as much as I enjoyed the others.

  2. Looks delicious! The concept of the German village is very interesting to me and I didn’t have a chance to check it out when I visited Namhae earlier in the year. Maybe next year I’ll make it to fest. Love me a good beer.

  3. Woah, this is in Korea? Never knew! I’ve never been to Namhae (they have another festival there in the summer, I believe). But I’ve heard it’s fun to go explore! I went to an Oktoberfest in Busan last year but it was okay. Just a fun time to eat some food and drink beer!

  4. Whoa super fun! Glad you got to experience something like that! I’ve never seen a more colorful Oktoberfest celebration! Personally, I think the Germans make the best sausage in the world. I hope that currywurst was part of that repertoire! That’s legit the best one out there!
