15 weeks into 52 week portrait photography project and going strong!
I’ve been following and trying to memorize Sue Bryce’s (http://suebryce.com/) techniques to posing women and making them look sexy and sophisticated. If you’ve read my previous post, you’d know that Sue has a fantastic course on Creative Live. She teaches anything and everything that deals with photography, business, posing, clothing, etc. Check her out! http://www.creativelive.com/instructor/sue-bryce
This week I had the chance to photograph my new friend – Shirlee. She’s energetic, hilarious and most of all – super photogenic! We started off with some professional-looking shots for her future employment possibilities and eventually got more comfortable, utilizing my couch and the available window light. Who knew that my pale couch and white walls would come out so sophisticated?!?! Again, thanks to Sue Bryce and her video on Flow Posing!
Why I love this shot: its clean and all the emphasis is on the subject. She has a nice pose (shoulders are uneven, hands are relaxed and romantic). The clothing is simple, not overpowering and the hair is gorgeous, just look at those ombre highlights!
Last, but not least are the technical details: f2.8, 1/160 sec iso400
