While October is an excellent month to photograph foliage in South Korea, why not visit some events in town where the foliage would make a great background to a wonderful festival/cause. While Daejeon may not be known for the most popular performances and attractions, there are still plenty of engaging events to go around. This month in particular is bringing you a bit of terrifying, musical, delicious and what should be photogenic fun!

Details: 11am-11pm at EXPO Park with live bands, food and lots of beer!

October 22, 2016 – 4th Annual Daejeon Charity Zombie Walk – CANCELED
Details: the event has changed into a Zombie walk instead, which will take place from 6-10pm. First location – Aztekila Restaurant 봉명동636-5, Daejeon 34185
Photographic highlights: Night shots of zombies and passersby. Possible shots of before and afters of pre-walk make up application process. See some examples from past Zombie Runs.
Details: 11am-3pm near EXPO’s Hanbit Tower. There will be a talent show, food booths, scientific marvel, chance to participate in Nanta (Korean Drumming) or Cheerleading/Dance classes, International Parade.
Photographic highlights: People in multi-cultural costumes doing multi-cultural performances.
Details: At Daejeon Convention Center (DCC) and KOTREX from 11am to 7 pm. Featuring more than 3,500 wines from all over the world.
Photographic highlights: Capture patrons and exhibitors interacting at the venue, photograph cultural performances, wine related activities and products, bartender’s competition.
